The extra-guest surcharge lets you vary the price by the number of people: e.g. 2 people pay the base price, and each additional person adds a fixed amount per night. The system calculates the total price itself and shows it to the guest when they pick dates.
Where to set it
Settings → Pricing → the "Surcharge for the number of guests" card.
Two configuration fields
Guests in the base price: how many people are included in the standard price. E.g. 2 means the first 2 people pay the same rate as 1 guest.
Surcharge per additional person (PLN/night): the amount added to the price/night for each person above the limit.
"Guests in the base price" is a pricing setting: don't confuse it with the "Min./Max. guests" limits, which decide how many people can book at all. You set those in the apartment's basic information.
Example: 350 PLN + 40 PLN/guest above 2
With a base price of 350 PLN, a limit of 2 guests and a 40 PLN/night surcharge:
| Guests | Formula | Price/night | For 7 nights |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | 350 + 0×40 | 350 PLN | 2,450 PLN |
| 3 | 350 + 1×40 | 390 PLN | 2,730 PLN |
| 4 | 350 + 2×40 | 430 PLN | 3,010 PLN |
| 5 | 350 + 3×40 | 470 PLN | 3,290 PLN |
| 6 | 350 + 4×40 | 510 PLN | 3,570 PLN |
The panel shows this calculator automatically once you set the values, so you can verify the rates.
How the guest sees it
On the booking page, after selecting dates and the number of guests, the price updates in real time. The guest sees the total price. They don't see the "base + surcharge" breakdown.
When to use it
The extra-guest surcharge works well when:
- The apartment can host 2–6 people, but utility usage grows with each additional person.
- You want to encourage small-group bookings with a lower entry price.
- The apartment fits e.g. a maximum of 6 guests, but comfortably only 4.
If the price is independent of the number of guests, leave both fields empty or enter 0.

Frequently asked questions
How do "guests in the base price" differ from the maximum-guests limit?
"Guests in the base price" is a pricing setting: how many people are included in the standard rate before the surcharge kicks in. The Min./Max. guests limits instead decide how many people can book at all; you set those in the apartment's basic information.
Does the guest see the base-plus-surcharge breakdown?
No. On the booking page the guest sees only the total price, which updates after they pick dates and the number of people. The "base + surcharge" split stays on your side.
How do I turn off the extra-guest surcharge?
Leave both fields empty or enter 0. The price will then be independent of the number of people, every allowed guest count pays the same nightly rate.
