The My account → Privacy & cookies section lets you connect Google Analytics to your booking page, and manages two things that go together: the guest-facing cookie consent banner and your privacy policy text.
Google Analytics (GA4)
Where to get the measurement ID
- Create an account at analytics.google.com if you don't have one yet.
- Create a property for your booking page.
- Go to Admin → Data Streams and add a "Web" stream with your site's address.
- Copy the measurement ID in the
G-XXXXXXXXXXformat.
How to connect it in the panel
Paste the ID into the "GA4 measurement ID" field and click "Save".
From this point on, guests visiting your page (booking page and catalog page, if you have several apartments) start seeing the cookie consent banner.
How the consent banner works
The banner appears on a guest's first visit and offers two choices:
- "Accept" — only now does the Google Analytics script load and start counting the visit. The choice is remembered in the guest's browser.
- "Necessary only" — Google Analytics never loads at all. The page works normally (booking, contact form), just without stats for that visit.
Before a guest makes a choice, no Google Analytics script runs at all — zero analytics cookies without consent. This is a simpler and safer approach than loading the script with cookies disabled by default, since booking pages carry no ads or remarketing that would benefit from that.
If you remove the GA4 ID from the panel, the banner stops showing and Google Analytics never loads.
Privacy policy
Every account has its own privacy policy page, publicly available at the address shown in the panel (e.g. https://your-domain.pl/polityka-prywatnosci). A link to it appears in the booking page's footer and in the cookie banner.
Default template
Until you write your own text, guests see an automatically generated template filled in with your account details (company name, contact email, tax ID) and a note about Google Analytics if you've enabled it.
Editing your own text
You can freely edit the text in the field and click "Save privacy policy" — from then on guests see your version instead of the template. Clearing the field and saving an empty value restores the default template.
Here's what the page looks like to a guest:
The template is a starting point, not a finished legal document — if you process guest data in an unusual way (your own CRM, extra marketing consents), adapt the text or have a lawyer review it.
